Episode 100 - Triple figures, baby!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In a long (and slightly delayed) episode 100, Joel, Ben and Spoons talk about what 2014 brought us and hopes for what we know is coming in 2015. We then work through the numerous questions around Guild and offer enlightenment and wisdom to all (well, Joel and Ben do and Matt tries to chip in now and then!!) There are questions from a lot of people, so thanks for that and start thinking about 10 Thunders!! And in a shock development, Spoons may have been able to talk for over 3 hours without offending anyone (Panzer doesn't count!)

Episode 99 - Back, but not as you know it | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

It's Malifools, but not as we know it……. In the first of the new line up, Joel, Ben and Matt talk through the experience of being at the biggest ever Malifaux tournament in the world. A lot. I mean, we really run on about it for ages……….and then have a discussion about tournament etiquette and whether we need to change going forward as the scene grows. Before you know it, a couple of hours have passed and we didn’t even get to discuss Matt's plans for Guild domination for #GuildOnly2015. So you have homework. And there may be a test.

 Episode 98 - Background Noice | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This week we have Mike, Joel and Ben who are joined by special guest Matt Spooner (he was only allowed on because Conrad wasn't around)  Sound quality issues plague this weeks episode but the best is Matt who spent the entire show under a duvet so that he could use his laptops built in mic rather than his cheap headset.Talk about the usual sort of stuff, what folks have been up to, Plascraft Scenary, little bit of rankings and then a big look at the first round GT matchups.  And thats it for your two hours.Enjoy

 Episode 97 - Luvvies | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

As we close in on episode 100 we've got the spades out for this episode and dug up Conrad.  Yes he really is here this week.  Unfortunately Ben isn't as he is stuck in deepest darkest Norfolk at Matt Spooners house.  Not a place I would want to be I must admit :)So free ranging episode this week as we talk about loads of different stuff including Yan Lo, changes to rankings for 2015, mercenaries, long discussion on Gremlins and I'm sure other bits and pieces as well.Enjoy

 Episode 96 - On the road again | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:25:48

This week its a Walifools special as Mark and Ross record there thoughts on the recently completed Australian GT.  And by recently completed I mean that as in previous Walifool episodes they record in the car on the way home.  It doesn't get much more recent than that.

 Episode 95 - I’m telling Mom | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Its like an episode of Eastenders this week.  We row, we make up, we row some more.  Don't think anyone dies fortunately but Joel does say a rude word.During our soap opera like conversation we talk about Faction vs. Open Faction events, Models that we think are better than everyone else, UK Rankings for 2015 (we weren't supposed to talk about that but somehow ended up on the topic) and Netlisting. All in all its a pretty packed show TBH.

 Episode 94 - Congratulations | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:10:14

This week was supposed to be the Welcome to Malifaux Noobie episode but as is pretty much par for the course we were all a bit underprepared and did something else instead. What we did do is meander around a discussion about the tournament scene and how strong it and indeed the whole Malifaux experience is here in the UK and how every event seems to have people turning out for the first time.  We touch on how its up to us as a community to ensure that the first time isn't the only time and that these new folks keep coming back.We then discuss the diversity of events being run and chat about story encounter days vs. straightforward Gaining Grounds type events of which there are so many - i think you could play a tournament every week if you wanted to in the run up to the new year.In the second half of the show we take a meme from the Wyrd forums and run down our top 5 go to models from each faction.  Some interesting discussion and diversity of opinion in that, which basically shows how balanced the game is.Music this week is chosen by Bob McCullam (@daemonkin) who got married at the weekend.  Congratulations from all of us involved at Malifools.Until next time

 Episode 93 - Lady Madonna | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:55:00

After a slightly extended summer break we return with the usual chat.  We start off with discussion about Bens Septembers Curse event from last weekend which sort of merges into a discussion about what folks have been doing with their hobby time over the summer holidays.  After a lovely musical interlude we come back and discuss the strong female characters in Malifaux and an interesting idea on seeding the first round of tournaments - not all of us are convinced this is the best idea.  SSomewhere in the mix Conrad gets up off his sick bed and joins us for a little while before going away muttering about his bad back.Next week we are going to do a Welcome to Malifaux type noobie episode which should be interesting so see you then.

Episode 92 - All together now | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Like buses these are.Anyway last weekend all 4 Malifools were in the room (though Mike ran away so there is no photographic evidence) playing at the excellent Somerfaux, so this weeks episode is a recap of how the event went.We are joined by Mr Bendyboards himself Lee Battrick and also discuss the remaining Gencon releases, get interupted by families, phone calls and other assorted real life things.Next week we will try and finish the stuff that was on this weeks running order :)

Gencon a coming, Gencon a coming | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Hello and welcome to episode 91.  Starting to close in on that elusive 100, will need to think of something to do with that.Anyway this week we spend a lot of time talking about the Gencon releases as you would expect, in fact thats pretty much the first half of the show. Then we move onto some more esoteric discussions about such things as is it possible to lose the game in deployment (split vote on that one)Anyway hope you enjoy it and we'll see you again next episode.PS since this was recorded a load more Gencon stuff came out that obviously we didn't get to talk about.  Ah well.

Its not all bad | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

And like yet another teen angst film about vampires we are back.  Fresh from MCC we spend a fair chunk of the episode discussing it from both a players and organisers point of view and then go onto talk about next years event.  All sounds good so far doesn't it.  Unfortunately Conrad and Matt seemed to have an attack of the children and were frankly very silly throughout the episode.  Must make a mental note to not have them on again. So then in a bit recorded a couple of days later Joel and Mike try to redeem the show by having a chat with the always wonderful Justin Gibbs about the new book 'Crossroads' and see where his head is at with regards the direction Malifaux is going to go in.  We also tried desperately to get details about models, nightmare editions and this years miss out of him but we failed spectacularly - sorry.Remember Septembers Curse is coming up so go support Ben.

Episode 89 - Wales I am in you | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

After a slightly longer gap that we expected a new Malifools episode turns up and as is normal after a gap its a catch up episode where we all talk about the various tournaments we have been to over the past couple of weeks. And thats pretty much it :)

 Episode 88 - No segments here | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:17:37

Something of an experiment this week as alongside the usual ramblings (and Ben swearing, wash his mouth out with soap) we have a segment.  Yes for 87 episodes we have resisted but we finally broke down and recorded 'The Beatdown'Basically folks on the Wyrd forums were asking for some in-depth tactical type stuff so we tried (and I think succeeded) to do that.  Of course we needed to import special guest stars to do it in the form of James 'MythicFox' Doxey and Lee 'Bendyboards' Battrick who use their recent 15 Minute Malifaux vassal game as the jumping off point.Oh you don't know what 15 Minute Malifaux is - well run on over to James blog at http://blog.mythicfox.com/ to take a look at the videos he has been producing.  The segment will make a lot more sense if you have.Oh and for those keeping score, still no Conrad :(

Episode 87 - QNA and the Bleeps | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

It was a sort of impromptu episode this week as Mike suddenly found himself with some recording time and grabbed any stranger off the street to answer audience questions.Fortunately for the show the randoms turned out to be pretty good at Malifaux so were able to answer the questions in a sensible way.  Not sure that Matts participation added much but 3 out of 4 folks is pretty good.So we start of with GT talk, quick discussion about the new artwork (Matt gets all sorts of excited about Trixibell) and then its into the QAThanks to the panel for doing the show on such short notice, hopefully they enjoyed themselves and will be back again.

 Episode 86 - Candyass | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A packed show this week with the biggest cast of reprobates the show has ever seen.  Still no Conrad though, one day I promise.Still in his absence we talked about the recent Canterfaux and Jimmyfaux events where Ben smashed poor old Mike into the ground.  Though Mike insists this is not proof that Mei Feng is better than Misaki just that Mike is a muppet and Ben isn't.  Then we move onto a problem that a few of us are suffering from in the form of Master burnout and discuss new choices that we are going to be moving to which segues nicely into a small Seamus discussion from Lee and Joel and Mike talking about McMourning again - guild flavoured this time though.Joel then introduces the idea that fixed faction events are a hangover from previous editions and deserve to be consigned to the dustbin of history which leads us very nicely, almost as if it was planned in fact, into discussions about the UKGT, which is shaping up to be the biggest Malifaux event held so far. Finally we put our rules designer hats on and get to change one rule in the main rulebook.  I think what we changed will surprise a fair few, they certainly did when we were recording. And then thats it.GT Tickets are available at http://www.yorkgarrison.co.uk/index.php/shop/product/view/2/25 from Saturday 24th May at 4pm, hope to see you there.
