It is used in a number of structural products in homebuilding, and LP was responsible for pioneering the technology more than 35 years ago. In addition to OSB, LP offers a number of building products for both the interior and exterior of a home. Products include sub-flowing, joists, trim, siding, siding and more. Many of these products add additional value to a home, including LP’s TechShield radiant barrier sheathing. Energy-efficient building products have been a trend in the market for awhile now, and LP TechShield is a great way to build that right into a home. A radiant barrier is an inexpensive product that can be added to a home for increased efficiency for both the first owner and future owners. This is a great product to look for when purchasing a new home, and it can also be a selling point when owners choose to sell down the road. LP’s TechShield is roof sheathing with a durable layer of aluminum that blocks the suns heat, which in turn lowers attic temperatures and keeps the home cooler. The product blocks up to 97 percent of radiant heat transfer into the attic, reducing attic temperatures by up to 30 degrees and significantly lowering energy bills. TechShield radiant barrier sheathing has been on the market for 15 years, and the primary different between it and other sheathing products are the holes in it that allow it to breathe, which keeps it dry during the construction process. When providing Realtors and builders with the knowledge they need inform buyers’ of the advantage of LP TechShield radiant barrier sheathing, she informs them of the top three reasons a buyer would be interested in this product being used in their home. The first reason is that the product can reduce attic temperatures by up to 30 degrees, which can keep temperatures cooler in the rest of the home. In addition, it can save owners up to 17 percent on their energy bill. Finally, it comes with a 20-year transferable warranty, meaning even if the current owner sells, the product will still be guaranteed!
