The fourth of our #34;Lost Interview#34; series. We have been wanting to help promote Diamond Bear Arkansas for a number of years. This is a repeat of an interview from many years ago with John, one of the 10 co-owners. Diamond Bear is the "only production" brewery in Arkansas and they also make a mean root beer! GABF WBF 2010 Interview 4

The Lost Interviews - Jamil Zainasheff | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:13

The second of our #34;Lost Interview#34; series. If you've been living under a rock, you may not know who Jamil is. Coauthor of #34;Brewing Classic Styles#34; and more recently a collaboration with Chris White - #34;Yeast: The Practical Guide to Beer Fermentation#34; This was a good interview! Hope you enjoy it. There is a new style brewing out there these days - Cascadian Dark Ale or Black IPA. It's big. It's dark. It's proud. If you're at work - kill the audio when the exit song starts.  Show 150 - The Highway 61 Beer Show | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 63:49

150 Shows over 5 years... Woot! Confetti! Okay on to the show content. In Memoriam: Dragonmead - Final Absolution Belgian Style Trippel Ale Rogue Ales - John John Juniper Avery/Russian River Brewing Company - Collaboration Not Litigation Ale Short's Brewing Company - Huma-Lupa-Liscious IPA Liberally borrowing from Wikipedia, the source from which all knowledge flows - Highway 61 is often called #34;The Blues Highway,#34; because of the course it takes from Minnesota, through Memphis, Tennessee, and into Louisiana (primarily New Orleans). The junction of Highway 61 and Highway 49 in Clarksdale is designated as the famous crossroads where, according to legend, Robert Johnson supposedly sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for mastery of the blues. A 30-mile (48 km) section of Highway 61 between Clarksdale and Tunica is the longest segment of highway in the world with no horizontal or vertical curves. It was on this stretch of highway that blues singer Bessie Smith died in a car accident on September 26, 1937. American music producer John Hammond was apparently a rat bastard but he had a great ear for talent - for example Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Gratuitous self promotion and other topics of interest: Big Foamy Head iApp and Twitter feeds are all the rage. KROC World Brewers Forum at the Great American Beer Festival. Stop by the Marriot on Thursday night at the GABF. Grab a pint of Epiphany Brewings #34;Bitter American#34; Beer Bloggers Conference in Boulder November 5th - 7th.
