NeatLittleMacApps
Summary: The NLMA (NeatLittleMacApps) podcast is a tribute to those little nifty Mac apps that are out there. Expect an inspired enhanced podcast that throws screenshots at you, so fast, that you'd think it's a movie ;). Occasionally I'll be interviewing a developer and talk about his take on his software. How he came up with the idea of making it, how he made it and whether he likes milk.

NLMA is moving. Not the site, but us, physically that is. So no ep. this week. But we'll get it to you as soon as possible (read: 7th of aug). Sorry about that ;)
Ok, now I'm not going to beat around the bush here... You go get this App. Seriously. Get it! As in 'NOW'! Do I look like I'm joking here?! App name: SizzlingKeys Developer: Yellow Mug Promocode in podcast: yes (first 20 users of the promocode receive 100% discount (so a free license actually))
In the beginning there was nothing... No wait, there was something. There was an RSS-feed creation tool called Feeder. And then there was podcasting. Ok now combine this with a developer who updates his software so fast that he must be psychic, and you get probably the best and most used podcast/rss-feed creating App out there.
No, this is not some sort of warning message telling you to give high priority to go telling all of your friends about this great podcast. High priority is a Menulet that allows you to create, edit and remove iCal ToDo's. And yes, I need this... badly.
What can I say... It's free, it's a life saver, it's just super. This app lets you type in short text strings, only to see them replaced with whole pieces of predefined text that you added to the app. Great for replying all that mail I get from you guys ;)
Fan of the NeatLittleMacApps podcast? Well then you better show everybody not? Go buy some iron-on transfer paper and print this PDF on it (don't forget to print it mirrored)! And then... strut the grounds dude!
Wake up and smell the coffee?? Those days are over baby. We want tunes! And that's what this great 'alarm-wakeup-gotosleep-snooze' app gives you. Your favorite music to wake up or end the day with. (though I must admit a coffee sure helps)
Art Directors Toolkit is probably the coolest compagnion an art director can wish for. What's that color again? Huh, gutter width? Is that image usabele? What page is opposite to number 45? No waiting for that Photoshop. Forget launching Indesign. Get this app.
Our very first application is a classic example of the type of apps we'll see passing by here at NLMA. It's called Wallet and it's a nifty app that stores all your passwords, SN's, credit card numbers etc... in a 448-bit Blowfish encrypted database. Keep an eye out for this podcast because we'll be mentioning a promocode for this one.
Just getting warmed up.
