The Dani Smith case investigation has uncovered information that no one saw coming. We are deep diving at the state, federal, and local levels to see what happened to Dani Smith. Not only asking for higher authorities to step in and show the investigation or lack of investigation but to uncover any shenanigans with Dani Smith's case and others. Already the case has brought scared victims from the past forward, no longer scared. To find out there are so many and the same names that keep showing up repeatedly in cases. Is Protect and Serve only for the few and not the females in that community? A female District Attorney, Courtney Shelton, will hopefully take the lead and clean up the overwhelming bad behavior. If you have an affinity for statement analysis, this is certainly an episode you will want to listen to repeatedly. As we recorded this episode, we caught something different every time we listened. Jeff places his needs before Dani’s. He tries to take control immediately by saying he needs a different county to respond. He distances himself from Dani by referring to her as “the girl”. He refused to give CPR because he knew she was dead. Except she wasn’t. Listen to the dispatcher as she seems to doubt that Jeff is doing as she tells him to. DANI SMITH CASE Season 5 Episode 5 Based on public record files of the Cass County Police Department. In this week’s episode, we introduce you to the second location of significance, the evening Dani died, which we call “The ATV site." Thirty minutes after Jeff called 911 about Dani, the Cass County Sheriff’s Dept responded to a 911 call from a witness who reported hearing an accident. You will hear the audio between Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy James Rachel and Jeff’s good friend CJ, who was also riding ATVs with Jeff and Dani. After they were finished riding, Jeff called CJ and asked him to follow him back into town. CJ reports that Jeff was driving erratically and lost his ATV off the trailer. Two days later, CJ is interviewed by Cass County Chief Deputy Roy Barker. You will also hear this audio. DANI SMITH CASE Season 5 Episode 4 Based on public record files of the Cass County Police Department. In the next episode, you will hear from one of my Patreon members, Haley Ward, who became a Private Investigator, to get answers about the suspicious death of her 20-year-old cousin, Dani Jo Smith of Longview, TX. Dani was a confident and vivacious young woman who went for an ATV ride on the night of July 18, 2014, with her on-again/off-again boyfriend, Jeff Wellborn. Unfortunately, Dani never made it home. Dani died in the hospital that night from a gunshot wound to her head, which was ruled a suicide. Many questions surrounded her death. Why were there three possible crime scenes? Why were none of the other ATV riders interviewed? How could she have shot herself while reclined in a car seat with a seatbelt on? Why would a former Marine who served two tours in Iraq confuse the sound of a gunshot, thinking it was a firecracker? In the next several episodes, Sheila and Katherine will investigate that fateful night, taking you through their private eyes. JONATHAN CREWS CASE Season 4 Episode 11 This episode is about reconstructing the crime scene, taking the time to review the case, and the factual information to come up with a reasonable conclusion. Remember the story that has fueled this case? Jonathan is so in love with Brenda, never mind the facts of the case, but Jonathan pulled out a gun after getting under the covers while Brenda is at the foot of the bed, allegedly saying to her Baby, I love you, and I am going to show you how much I love you. Jonathan is so concerned about Brenda’s delicate ears being damaged, Jonathan tells Brenda to cover her ears while in pain with a shoulder injury and then allegedly shoots himself getting only five particles of gun powder residue in a defensive move. At the same time, Southwestern Medical Lab shows the only other person in the room is covered in gun powder residue. Let’s not get the facts of the physical evidence in the way of ruling on a case. Most of Brenda’s accounts of the shooting have her so far away from Jonathan at the time of the shooting that she had to run to him. To make matters worse, a Coppell Department police officer commented to Pam Crews that gunpowder residue on someone doesn’t mean anything; how about the LACK of gunpowder residue on someone? Is that a lack of training, ineptness, or corruption? JONATHAN CREWS CASE Season 4 Episode 10 What did you think of Karen Petree’s episode? Did she appear to know more than what she was testifying to? Did she contradict herself? In this episode, I will be discussing the day’s events leading up to Jonathan’s death. By all accounts, Jonathan Crews was a stable, happy young man with a loving family and friends. The only witness present was the girlfriend he had broken up with the same day after Jonathan concluded that her extreme jealousy was too much to tolerate. Usually, in an investigation, you go back a few days; what did Jonathan do, who did he see, and where did he go? Investigators want to get an idea about his state of mind. Did anyone notice changes in him? Where would an investigator start? Friday at work to get first-hand information from his co-workers. I went to Concentra and spent hours with the employees interviewing. I learned so much about Jonathan and Brenda, for that matter. Story after story, their relationship was unmasked. JONATHAN CREWS CASE Season 4 Episode 9 Investigating cases, you want to talk to everyone you might know, especially those Brenda saw the next day. Brenda was very busy the next day, and we know by her phone that she saw Matthew Kirk and Karen Petree. I already spoke to Matthew and went to Sherman High School to talk to Karen. I and Chris Hawkins, a private investigator, worked together on this case. Chris and I went to the High School before the first class and sat down with Karen. Karen described what Brenda had told her. However, there was hesitation from her. We knew she had more knowledge which led her to a deposition. The legal definition of a deposition is a formal statement made by someone who has promised to tell the truth so that the statement can be used in court. JONATHAN CREWS CASE Season 4 Episode 6 In the last episode, you heard from the Crews family. Pam, John, and Dani reliving the heart-wrenching night Jonathan died. Henry Su called Pam after he picked up Brenda from the police station. In this week’s episode, I will go through the night of the shooting, what Brenda told the police, and of course what Brenda told THE FAMILY and their members. Pam told us about the scene when she showed up at Jonathan’s apartment. Police cars and fire trucks taking over the parking lot. The police were already in the apartment.
