College ain’t what it used to be. There's a bunch of problems with college when it comes to the price, the length, and a piece of paper that says you are qualified to work a certain job. So that begs the question, is college a racket? Are the benefits that do exist justify the price and the decades of debt?
Across college campuses in the US black students would prefer to dorm with other black students due to the fact that they feel uncomfortable dorming with white students. So that leaves Christian and I to ask a few questions. Is this segregation and how does it compare to the 1960s when white students were saying the exact same thing.
What exactly does it mean to be considered “middle class.” How much money do you need to make? Even If you fit the definition can you still afford the same things the “middle class” could afford 30-50 years ago? I think there are a handful of problem with the middle class,the reality of our situation, and what it means to be considered in the middle class.
My friend Rickie and I love to debate anything. One of our favorite games to play is “Is it Racist.” In this example we talk about the situation going on in a Minneapolis School district firing white teachers first. Christian and I discuss and try to figure out if it’s racist.
Joe Biden announced that he will cancel $10k of student debt which in reality kind of helps some people. Christian and I break down how it helps us in addition to millions of middle class Americans, BUT, we also break down how it does not fix what caused the problem to begin with and why it's a half assed measure.
