We had it planned....well Jason did, not realising that Chris would be at the Isle of Wight festival and then also not realising that Rich was off on a work trip which left Jason's plans in tatters. No Rich this week meant Jason had to find a suitable replacement and came up trumps when The AMAZING Cliff from the N64life podcast agreed to take his place. He was maybe not so thrilled when he learnt the film we were covering though. That film is Batman and Robin! Deemed the worst Batman film ever made and killed the franchise for eight years, we decided now was the time to go back and see if it is a better film than we remembered. This week brings us one of the biggest movies ever released. A film so big in 1996 other films had to be moved or postponed because of it. Independence Day was and still is in some cases the blockbuster film and we jump in to discuss many aspects of the film from praising the best parts to questioning some of the decisions that were made and why some of it just wouldn't work in real life. And yes, Jason is well aware he say’s June 2nd and not July 2nd…..muppet! Joining us is Jason and Rich's co host from the Dreamcast Years podcast, Steve and he doesn't hold any punches, but he does promise that he does love this film! Not gonna lie, this one nearly didn't happen. From plenty of technical issues that were thrown our way we nearly called it a day, but we decided to struggle through and we think we ended up with a good show for you to enjoy. This week we continue our journey through the 90's and this time its the turn of video games. Before we discuss our picks we had a cheeky look through the multi format top ten for week 51 of 1996 and then progressing to our games which this week were Wipeout 2097, Tomb Raider and Quake.
