Power in the Blood

Reaching Your World with Luis Palau show

Summary: John had never been one to play by the rules. From the earliest of ages, he began to take advantage of situations, cut corners, and cheat others. As he got older, the seriousness of his behaviors only increased. He eventually left his family, became a slave to drug addiction, and with a growing list of crimes to his name, was eventually caught for his wrongdoings and placed in prison. But do you know what happened there? John thought his freedom was taken away when he was incarcerated, but it was just the opposite. John met Jesus in prison, and found a freedom unlike anything he’d ever experienced or dreamt of. John lived his first days as a truly free soul, from behind prison walls. John thought his mistakes were unforgivable, but several fellow prisoners shared with him the Good News of Jesus Christ- that by His dying on a cross for us, Jesus forgives us for all of our sin. All of it! No matter how bad we think we are. The Bible says, “it is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” No one is too far-gone. No sin is too great. If you have not experienced the freedom that Christ promises, turn to him in your heart today. Just as He forgave and freed John, he wants to forgive and free you. It’s never too late to start over with Jesus Christ.
