Summary: Welcome to Positively Nerdy’s first podcast of 2013! It’s time to get back into the swing of things with an all-new batch of comic reviews. Yes, we’ve got My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #2, but believe it or not, some other comics came out this week as well! From Marvel there’s Ultimate Spider-Man #19 and a pair of Marvel NOW! stories including New Avengers #1 and the increasingly spectacular All-New X-Men #5. Sometimes even two issues is too many, as proven by Star Wars: Purge: The Tyrant’s Fist #2 but it’s nothing a trip to the Mirror Universe can’t fix in Star Trek #16. And finally the first batch of comics for 2013 wraps up with The Manhattan Projects #8 and its explosion of the bizarre and fascinating storytelling, artwork and historical perspective.
