Summary: In Los Angeles, you can eat Chicago-style deep dish pizza and New York-style steaks, Buffalo chicken wings and Philly cheesesteaks, Southern barbeque and Seattle salmon. But try to find a restaurant boasting Los Angeles cuisine anywhere in the world. Nobody thinks of McDonald's, Johnny Rockets or the Caesar salad as coming from Southern California. They think of them as coming from America. L.A. Weekly food critic Jonathan Gold asked, what is Los Angeles food?
