Summary: With a ridiculous amount of grime MCs in South Wales, all making tracks and getting vids out during the last few years, it makes sense to sort a set right now with some of the scene's most prominent names. Ramming out Soul Boxx Studio in Newport, we had DJs 10sion, Cluedo and Illa B on the decks, with Tiny Skitz, Yagsta, Smokey and Eaton repping for Newport, plus Lil C and Venomous Vocab travelling over from Cardiff. The former Allstars crew member, now in Hatz n Hoodz, started getting his name out through car park clashes with Yagsta on Smokeyz TV back in 2007. Regularly lays tracks with Cardiff MC Local, and has worked with Sox, Z Dot, Revolver, Lady Leshurr, Elro, Traxx (Astroid Boys), and has work in progress with Beat Geeks, Spooky, Durrty Skanx, Stay Fresh and Nate Prophet. Formerly YTU13, now Hatz n Hoodz, the man offers something a bit different in subject matter and his mixtape Best Kept Secret is coming soon. www.twitter.com/EatonArtist Lil C A street spitter from young, the still only 18 Lil C has a side line career as part of pop-grime crew Flowdem. He already has prime time TV performances under his belt, with a show at the O2 Arena coming later this month. TV, Newport's Smokey jumped on the mic after the camera, joining then naming the Newport Allstars.
