Lord of the Allotment

Tales from Terry's Allotment show

Summary: Initially away from the Rhonda valley allotment this month we join Terry Walton and Richard Fishbourne at The Malvern Show or should we say The Malvern 039Winter039 Show Fortunately we catch them on one of the more pleasant days and they discuss an unusual greenhouse made entirely of plastic bottles Although this may be taking recycling to the extreme this is an encouraging way to get the kids involved Home sweet home back on the allotment where they are working hard on bank holiday they give some handy tips on a variety of plants including egg plants cabbage whites spinach strawberries and several types of onions useful for cooking purposes Due to the frosty weather surprisingly followed by a short heat wave Terry039s rhubarb stalks are growing to the size of a human wrist Maybe some of you are also just as prepared to try out Rhonda039s rhubarb jelly from last month or maybe go all out and make the perfect crumble Once again Terry sings his heart out for us this time with a late audition for Andrew Lloyd Webber039s search for the perfect Dorothy in Over the Rainbow
