Nos Audietis: Episode 60

Backheel Master Podcast Feed show

Summary: Oh. My. God. As bad as it has been around these parts over the past couple weeks, Saturday felt like a rather massive relief. Not only did the Seattle Sounders win their first league game in almost two months. Not only did they look sharp doing it. But we also got to see Steve Zakuani play against the same team that put him out about 14 months ago. Regular-season wins really don't get much more satisfying than that one. There was much to discuss beyond Zakuani, though. We spent quite a bit of time how impressed we are with Eddie Johnson and how good Mauro Rosales looked as a second forward. We even broached the sometimes sacrosanct subject of Fredy Montero's struggles. Our guests this week were Alicia Ratterree-Rodriguez (@soccermusings) of The Goat Parade and Gabe Lezra (@gabelezra) of Managing Madrid. Alicia helps us preview Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup against Chivas USA, while Gabe gives us the lowdown on the Sounders' latest transfer target, Joan Verdu.
