Dave currently hosts a podcast called "Daves of Thunder" with David Feeney. He's a diehard Pirates fan who led the 1990 Pirates to a championship over Lynch's 1922 St. Louis Browns in the Seamheads.com Near Miss Simulation Baseball League in 2009. Freedman is a Chicago-based sportswriter who has worked on the staffs of the Chicago Tribune, Anchorage Daily News, and Philadelphia Inquirer. The winner of more than 250 journalism awards, he is the author of 40 books, including "The Day All the Stars Came Out: Major League Baseball's First All-Star Game, 1933."
