Summary: Cynthia Tucker is a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist whose commentary appears in dozens of newspapers around the country. She’s also a regular contributor to “This Week” and a frequent commentator on other television news programs. After serving for several years as editorial page editor of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tucker is currently the newspaper’s Washington, D.C.-based national columnist. Tucker was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 2007. She has won many other awards and honors, including the American Society of Newspaper Editors Distinguished Writing Award, the University of Alabama’s Clarence Cason Writing Award and Colby College’s Elijah Lovejoy Award. She graduated from Auburn University in 1976 and was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University in the 1988-89 academic year.
