INTERVIEW: Ming-Na, star, STARGATE UNIVERSE

Summary: Ming-Na has long been a huge fan of science fiction, and is thrilled to be working on Stargate Universe as Camille Wray. “As a kid, I’ve always loved pretending I was in outer space on a cool spaceship! Who knew one day that would be my job! I smile every time I walk on the set!” She first won attention with her performance as June in the feature film The Joy Luck Club. Among her other film credits are Mike Figgis’ One Night Stand with Robert Downey Jr., Streetfighter as Chun-Li and, most recently, Push with Dakota Fanning. She’s also the voice of Disney’s heroine Mulan, and Aki Ross in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Amongst her considerable television work, she is most noted for her portrayal of Dr. Jing-Mei “Deb” Chen on the hit NBC show ER. She has also been a series regular on Vanished, Inconceivable, and The Single Guy. Soap opera fans may remember her as Lien Hughes on As The World Turns.
