The clinical manifestations include a number of atypical involuntary muscle contractions that influence gait, movement, and posture. The symptoms can develop acutely, be delayed, or overlap making diagnosing a challenge. Extrapyramidal side effects and symptoms vary and may include: * Movement changes, such as: * Involuntary movements * Slowed movements * Increased muscle tone * Muscle spasms and muscle rigidity * Memory loss * Problems finding words * Tremor * Uncontrollable, repeated movements, speech, or cries (tics) * Walking difficulty Appearance of these symptoms plus a medication history of antipsychotic durgs is highly indicative of Extra pyramidal symptoms.
