Summary: In this episode of The Dr. Rob Show, we welcome back a previous guest to the show, Dr. Valorie Davidson (Dr. Rob's Wife) and discuss the new controversial kid's book titled "Maggie Goes on a Diet."  This book has not been released yet, but has been met with some opposition stating that it is sending the wrong message and is encouraging young girls to diet.  Dr. Rob and Dr. Davidson give their opinion about the book.  Also in this episode we discuss "Worry Weight," and how stress causes people to gain weight.   In the 21st century chronic psychological stress is just a fact of life.  Whether it is work, family or finances we all have a constant level of stress that overtime tends to take a toll on the body and as a result, predisposes people to gain weight, especially around the waistline.   In fact, in many cases people with high levels of stress, don't consume that many calories on a daily basis, but still continue to gain weight overtime.  This is what we refer to as "non-caloric weight gain," and can make the weight loss process very frustrating.  Stress induced weight gain can be attributed to a hormone called "Cortisol," which incidentally enough is commonly referred to as the "stress hormone."
