In our news segment we talk about the new Beloit Mindset List. The list “provides a look at the cultural touchstones that shape the lives of freshmen students entering college. It is used around the world as the school year begins, as a reminder of the rapidly changing frame of reference for this new generation.” Check out the Beloit Mindset list here. Nick tells us about Nature’s Call, a young adult Labor Day camping trip. This week Nick and his roommate made a Nature’s Call promo video and posted it on YouTube.
During the episode, we had some crazy technical difficulties! This month Nick interviews Shelley Fravala of Spirit and Truth in St. Louis. Spirit and Truth is a Catholic ministry whose mission is “to bring young adults into relationship with Christ through worship of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, study of church teachings and sacred scripture and celebrations of Catholic traditions, while forming a community of life-giving relationships.” Young Adults meet for Eucharistic Adoration and fellowship afterwords at a local restaurant.
Lastly, we finish up by talking about our fourth Catholic Challenge for the month—learning the Luminous mysteries of the Rosary. Looking ahead at next week’s show, we will check in and see how we’re all doing with our Catholic Challenges (memorizing the mysteries of the Rosary).
Have you ever wanted to call into the show but aren’t sure what exactly to call us about?
