Checkers is pretty easy to play. There aren't too many rules. I've probably played chess once or twice and I just wasn't interested because there was so much memorizing with all of the rules. And if you wanna get good or enjoy playing chess, I think you have to keep playing so that you just start to know the rules by heart. Harp: Yes, I agree.
