Summary: Time to get back on track. With only a few more shows until the end, it's time to take a closer look at recent albums in my box. Some quality goods are on the radar this week...recent releases, new releases, and forthcoming releases. Different styles that, hopefully, will be good music for your ears. Every year since I've started this show nearly 14 years ago, no year ever goes by without some amazing albums that my ears have graced. Soem of them are groundbreaking, but many are just really good music that stands up to close scrutiny, in my mind. They are the best at culling in the variants of soul and jazz, sometimes electronically, other times organically. You would do well to check out the albums on your own and support these talented artists. You won't find them on American top 40 radio, so don't miss your chance to open your hearts, your minds, your ears and take a dive into greatness.
