Summary: THE SOURCE is set in a small village somewhere between North Africa and the Middle East. For as long as anyone can remember, the women of the community have fetched water from a mountaintop spring in the blazing sun. Leila, a young new bride, urges the other women to go on love strike: no more sex until the men run water to the village.
