KnitWit 165: Intarsia

Rantings of a Rabid Knitter show

Summary: I start the show with some sad news.  The turtle (KnitWit:159) didn’t make it.  He died last week.  They tried their best but in the end his injuries were too extensive. This week is a knitting espisode in which we continue talking about color techniques. Intarsia is a method of color knitting in which only one yarn is used at a time. There are three things you have to be able to do to inorder to do intarsia knitting. 1. Read charts. 2. Untangle yarn 3. Lock your yarns in place. There is a contraversy concerning intarsia in the round.  It can be done.  I learned how from this book: Knitting Tips & Trade Secrets. It is a great book with all kinds of wonderful information. I am still working on my super, secret project.  There is time to help if you can spare some time and yarn.  Contact me and I will fill you in on the details. email: carry.autumnbreeze@gmail.com ravelry: autumnbreeze Thanks.
