Summary: Earlier this year, the most of the landfills scattered across central Newfoundland closed . Garbage from our region is now shipped to the huge waste management facility in Norris Arm. For most of us, there has been little difference at the curb, but we still have those old dumps bordering our towns. There is a plan to remediate those sites, though.
