He has appointed the Church as the steward of this preeminent truth. However, local churches do not always conduct themselves in such a way that the message of salvation is winsome. We need to be realigned, refocused on our mission - the men (2:8), the women (2:9-15) and the leadership (3:1-13), so that the church is an adornment not a distraction for the gospel.
