The Unkept Mill in Grand Falls-Windsor

The Central Newfoundland Morning Show from CBC Radio Nfld. and Labrador (Highlights) show

Summary: It's been three and a half years since Grand Falls-Windsor's historic mill shut down. Barely anyone has been allowed inside since the closure, and any remediation efforts seem to be on hold until the Supreme Court rules who - the province or Abitibi - will foot the bill. In the meantime, workers say the mill is deteriorating fast. Kevin Whiffen worked at the mill for over thirty years, and was one of the workers kept on as security after the mill closed. Our Jessica Doria-Brown met up him to find out what kind of shape the mill is in these days.
