Summary: Farnell Newton, Composer/Trumpeter was born in Miama Florida, he was exposed to many forms of music, including jazz, salsa, funk, hip-hop salsa and soul. Currently, Farnell is performing with the Mike Phillips band. He recently performed as trumpeter for the 2009 Soul Train Awards house band, he played with notable artists, such as Chaka Khan, Charlie Wilson, Bootsy Collins, Brian McKnight, Chrisette Michelle, Boyz II Men. This Oregon based Music Master is making his mark on the Contemporary Jazz world with fresh original sounds.
