As an environmentalist, Dr. Pye worked with NGOs around the world and has founded several international nonprofit organizations and worked in executive management with marine conservation organizations. She has also led international conferences on diverse issues which featured names like James Hillman, Thomas Moore, David Abrams, Susan Griffin, Ginette Paris, Dennis Slattery, Ernest Rossi, and James Hollis among many others. Dr. Pye teaches Ecopsychology topics at the University of California in Santa Barbara (UCSB), Naropa University, and Antioch University, and Mythology & Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute.
