Summary: What does it mean to be a true patriot? It is not about Republican or Democrat, Up or Down. It is about right versus wrong. A true patriot fights not for the special interest of any one group, but for the liberties of all Americans. We stand firmly behind our Constitution and Bill of Rights, and oppose all who threaten the principles contained thereinThe true patriot does not pledge loyalty to any elected official, or in recent years usurping tyrant. The true patriot pledges their loyalty only to the ideology of freedom. The true patriot knows that the Constitution and Bill of Rights exist to protect our natural rights, contrary to the belief held by a majority of the public that rights are granted by these documents. The true patriot believes in protecting those liberties, because simply, it is the right thing to do. Under current United States law, set forth in the USA PATRIOT Act, acts of domestic terrorism are those which: "(A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State; (B) appear to be intended— (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.
