Summary: You know, just about everybody I know, including myself and I’m an evangelist, experiences fear when you have to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ one on one. The apostle Paul had fear, I fear. You may experience fear also. It’s natural. You know why, because its spiritual warfare, that’s why. It may not appear to be spiritual warfare but it is. Darkness vs. light. Jesus vs. the devil. In Ephesians chapter 6 the apostle Paul is talking about spiritual warfare and then he ends with an amazing, amazing phrase. Did you ever notice it? He says in verse 19, “Pray also for me.” Now this is the Apostle Paul, “So whenever I open my mouth, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.” Now that is amazing when you think of it. This is the Apostle Paul, who was stoned. They thought they killed him. He was in jail, they beat him up. They just mistreated him over and over. And as one friend of mine just said, he went back again and again to the same towns where he had been persecuted. If Paul needed people to pray for him so that he would be fearless, you and I need it too. So ask your friends to pray for you when you go out and share the Gospel.
