The news this week covers The Old Republic going free to play, the re-release of Final Fantasy 7 for the PC, John Carmack's VR Kickstarter, Epic's return to PC gaming, Medal of Honor teasing Battlefield 4, the Planetside 2 beta and Steam expanding into applications beyond games.
