Summary: An aging Gen X icon who couldn’t resist the lure of controlling a new and very lucrative franchise. A studio who was looking to the past to reinvent classic characters. Budgets grew and so did egos. The production itself was an absolute disaster. At one point, the studio didn’t even think it would be releasable.
