Summary: The director of this film has completely disowned it and to this day refuses to talk about it. Filming had begun even though the script wasn’t finished. A studio that wanted a big Hollywood Summer blockbuster, but got a grimy, grounded horror film instead. Within it’s franchise, it is the most controversial entry amongst fans. There was even a cartoon spin-off pilot for this movie. What went wrong? James Cameron considered this film “a slap in the face”. The lead actor begged that their character be killed off.
