Summary: Sally Cowal, a former U.S. diplomat, and Robert Muse, an international lawyer, are among Virginia's many independent family vintners. They own Muse Vineyards in the Shenandoah AVA. The couple purchased their first vineyard in 2003 and later acquired the adjacent farm to plant more vines.
