Summary: Negotiators met in Cairo for a second day on Tuesday to try and secure a deal between Israel and Hamas that would see a pause in fighting in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages. The U.S. had hoped to secure a deal before the start of Ramadan next week, but so far there's been no breakthrough.
