Finally, observing Ramadan.</span></p> <h2><strong>Stockton Doctor Returns from Gaza</strong></h2> <span style="font-weight: 400;">A Stockton doctor born and raised in the West Bank has returned from Gaza, after spending two weeks leading a medical team to provide emergency aid to Palestinians trapped in a conflict between Israel and Hamas - as the death toll continues to climb and hundreds of thousands more are suffering starvation. Dr. Yousef Khelfa is the co-founder of the <a href="https://palestinian-ama.org/">Palestinian American Medical Association</a> and joins us with more about his <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0k8cO92Hl4">humanitarian mission</a>.</span> <h2><strong>Palestinian Author Visits Sacramento</strong></h2> <span style="font-weight: 400;">It has been over five months since Israel began bombing campaigns and military operations in Gaza, following the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7. </span><a href="https://www.lailahaddad.com/">Laila el-Haddad</a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is a Palestinian author, social activist and journalist from Gaza, and spoke in Sacramento last week about the ongoing crisis. This year, Ramadan has increased meaning as the war between Israel and Hamas rages on.
