A Visit to Etna DOC with Salvino Benanti, Benanti Winery

The Connected Table Live show

Summary: Etna DOC in Sicily is a protected wine region located on Europe's largest and most active volcano, Mt. Etna. Families have made wines on Etna for generations, mainly for personal consumption. Modern Etna winemaking is more recent dating back 30-40 years. One of the pioneers is Giuseppe Benanti, founder of Benanti Winery, now run by sons, Salvino and Antonio. Salvino Benanti discusses his father's role in researching native grapes and yeasts, the region's production subzones (contrade) and wines.

The Connected Table is broadcast live Wednesdays at 2PM ET.

The Connected Table Radio Show is broadcast on W4CY Radio (www.w4cy.com) part of Talk 4 Radio (www.talk4radio.com) on the Talk 4 Media Network (www.talk4media.com).

The Connected Table Podcast is also available on Talk 4 Podcasting (www.talk4podcasting.com), iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, Audible, and over 100 other podcast outlets.
