Note that the ‘completely reversible‘ claim is unsourced.<br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> The NHS has changed its website to remove claims that puberty blockers are ‘<a rel="noreferrer noopener external" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20200214042527/https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/gender-dysphoria/treatment/" target="_blank" data-wpel-link="external">fully reversible</a>‘, <a rel="noreferrer noopener external" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20230518103756/https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/gender-dysphoria/treatment/" target="_blank" data-wpel-link="external">now saying</a> ‘it is not known what the psychological effects may be … It’s also not known whether hormone blockers affect the development of the teenage brain or children’s bones. Side effects may also include hot flushes, fatigue and mood alterations.‘ <br> <br> <br> <br> Reuters <a rel="noreferrer noopener external" href="https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/age-10-this-transgender-model-is-advocating-other-kids-2022-09-13/" target="_blank" data-wpel-link="external">have reported how a 10-year-old,</a> who said they were trans at the age of two years, according to the parents, both themselves trans, became a model at New York Fashion Week.<br> <br> <br> <br> Girls, overwhelmingly those who are lesbian and bisexual, and aged 13 – 15 <a rel="noreferrer noopener external" href="https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/bjpsych-bulletin/article/sex-gender-and-gender-identity-a-reevaluation-of-the-evidence/76A3DC54F3BD91E8D631B93397698B1A" target="_blank" data-wpel-link="external">are vastly overrepresented</a> in the young people referred to the Tavistock clinic, in particular those diagnosed as on the autistic spectrum, and suffering from an array of mental health difficulties, to the degree that they make up the bulk of the explosion in the number of child referrals since 2010.<br> <br> <br> <br> The <a rel="noreferrer noopener external" href="https://cass.independent-review.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Cass-Review-Interim-Report-Final-Web-Accessible.pdf" target="_blank" data-wpel-link="external">Cass Report</a> on the investigation into the Tavistock clinic found that the UK’s Care Quality Commission “reported that when it inspected GIDS, there did not appear to be a formalised assessment process, or standard questions to explore at each sessi...
