Summary: <p>Welcome to a very special edition of From the Rookery End.</p><br><p>In February, Watford Football Club lost one of the most important men in it’s history. Oli Phillips covered more than 2,000 Hornets fixtures in his role at the Watford Observer, a career that spanned more than 40 years. This podcast is a tribute to Oli; a bona fide Watford legend.</p><br><p>We hear from friends and colleagues of Oli, as well as two of the players that he’d regularly write about in such a memorable fashion; Tony Coton and John McClelland. As you’ll hear, Oli was extremely well respected, both by those that knew him well, and those that pored over his very word, devouring his weekly work in the Watford Observer every Friday.</p><br><p>Oliver Phillips will forever be a name synonymous with Watford Football Club.
