25 Years Ago + New Urban Landscapes + Mea Culpa…Hi There!

Velanche Presents Urban Landscapes show

Summary: Happy New Year, folks.
The last several years personally has been challenging…very challenging. So much so, that I had to pull back, put things on hold, and deal. As a consequence, you did not get new episodes of Urban Landscapes on the regular. For that, I apologize for not being in touch. On the good side of it, I am working things in….slowly.
And what that means is that, at least for now, this show will, for the foreseeable future, be audio only. At this time, I will not keep a regular schedule until other things fall into place. The plan is to give you two new shows a month, but it could end up being one….it’s in flux right now. But you’ll get more shows this year than you have during the last two. I hope to keep that commitment, so hold tight. Also, when I get to do music livestreams, and I am planning a few of them this year, I’ll do my best to give you advanced heads up.
Meanwhile, I realized earlier this week that January marked 25 years ago that a little show called Urban Landscapes began, on a Saturday morning, on the campus of Cal Poly State University here in San Luis Obispo, California, my alma mater, and a beautiful city where I continue to reside. There was no show like it on-air here before I took he airwaves, and I got to do it for years. It’s certainly been one of the highlights of my life. I have developed connections with labels, producers, DJs, and music professionals around the globe, and have been fortunate to have met some of them. But of course, it’s the music that kept me going, until I was burned out and needed a break.
Believe me, taking a break has been easier than getting back in. Still, I am back, and I’m excited to share the great music that continues to get made, and even those labels and producers that have returned to my radar after being away. It goes to show that in music, you are as young as you feel. January is another rotation around the sun for me, but it’s time to get back into it and have some fun. I have a vision for where I want to see the show and my own musical aspirations go, while also keeping this train moving. Onward with the future, while living life in the moment.
With that, I hope you enjoy the music. You won’t hear me on this one, but you will again soon. I was itching to get the music out, so here you go.
Back soon, folks. I hope you’ll stay with me.
Peace.
Velanche Presents Urban Landscapes
Show 25.01
February 16, 2023

Song

Artist

Release

Label

Chivat alt
WAAN
Echo Echo
Sonar Kollektiv

Galope
Tunico
Single
Far Out

Ode ao gato
Pedro Ricardo
Single
Soundly

Parkview Theme
Gerardo Frisina
Joyful Sound
Schema

All Or Nothing
Laura Llorens & The Shadows Of Love
Single
Golden Rules

Burn The Boats
Emm Gryner
Single
Légère

Ride Out The Storm
Dele Sosimi & The Estuary 21
Single
Wah Wah 45s

Spacedrum
Kapote
What It Is (2.0)
Toy Tonics

Heidelberg
Rocket Empire
Single
Om

Try My Luck
Granata
Single
W+L

Hold On 2 It (Moodymann Remix)
Inkswel & Colonel Red
Holders of the Sun Remix EP
Compost

Grateful feat.
