Eclipse and Woman in the Moon | LAYC53

Lift As You Climb show

Summary: Perhaps it’s because I’m older – in what some call the second half or the final third of my life, I was inspired to get out of bed at 3:30 am, bundle up against a chilly, damp November pre-morning and hurry outside to find a viewing spot for the total lunar eclipse – dubbed the blood beaver moon. This spectacular celestial event will not occur again until November 2025. I am going to put that one on my calendar too! I felt like a child, chilled by early winter and thrilled by anticipation; there I stood waiting for Santa Claus to arrive at a night version of a holiday parade. Alone with my thoughts on the quiet streets, there I was watching transformations take place. And I felt connected to the even, like a woman in the moon, throughout my life, waning, waxing, shadowed, brilliant, and sometimes feeling unseen. Taking time to reflect under the stars and moon, and watch the sunrise is healing and uplifting for me. Walking, meditating, and renewing my gratitude for being part of this Universe is a privilege. How often do you look up and recharge yourself?
