Summary: On September 12th,1983 a Wells Fargo depot in West Hartford, Connecticut was robbed of more than $7 million ($18 million today) in what was, at the time, the largest cash heist in United States history. It was carried out by a guerrilla group seeking Puerto Rican independence from the US called Los Macheteros, in the name of Revolutionary hero, Jose Maldonado Roman a.k.a. Aguila Blanca.
