Summary: <p>God With Us: Acts, Week 3 <br> The Ministry in Judea & Samaria Acts 8–12 </p> <p>The death of Stephen instigated a major persecution against the Christian community in Jerusalem. Saul of Tarsus was the major mover in the wider persecution effort, as he rounded up Christians near and far, taking them back to Jerusalem to face the Jewish authorities on the charge of promoting heresy. The persecution served a positive purpose, however, in that it propelled the proclamation of the gospel outward to Judea and Samaria, thus fulfilling the 2nd stage of the mission outlined by Jesus in Acts 1:8 </p> <p>This message is part of our God With Us series where Pastor Bob walks us through the entire Bible.</p>
