A Pod of Their Own, Episode 127: @SleepyCornPop, where’s the update?

Home Run Applesauce: A New York Mets podcast show

Summary: Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, we begin by discussing the incredible position the Mets find themselves in, despite missing both Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer (and others). We shout out the Nick Plummers and Colin Holdermans of the world that are stepping up to contribute. We also talk about where the various injured Mets are at with their rehab. In our baseball segment this week, we talk about a recent column from Jeff Passan of ESPN on a memo MLB issued to teams regarding inadequate stadium facilities for female employees.  Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.  You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Amazin’ Avenue Audio podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show.
