These protests clearly got Prince William thinking, as he said when he became king, he wouldn’t rule the Commonwealth if the people of those countries weren’t in favour of that.</p> <p>Isn’t it a bit odd how a country like Jamaica can be independent, and still have a UK royal as head of state? Isn’t it a bit odd the monarch is still head of state in the UK too?</p> <p>Is Prince William's reaction to the protests a genuine attempt at changing things, and moving things, and the conversation on, and dealing with the modern day impacts of the former slave trade?
