The Functional Health Coaching Show

The Functional Health Coaching Show show

Summary: In this week's show, here's what we discussed: Discussion about blood sugar management and various tools to track blood sugar, i.e. using a glucometer versus a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) Within that blood sugar discussion we talked about how not every client necessarily needs to track blood sugar - it’s more often beneficial as a teaching or self-monitoring tool for those with clear blood sugar dysregulation issuesOne caller asked about the roots of autoimmune disease, and whether a ketogenic diet could play a role We talked about autoimmune disease being multifactorial - a perfect storm of genetics, lifestyle, environmental stressors/triggers - in other words, there is no single root cause but rather “a death by a thousand cuts"Within that discussion we talked about the pros and cons of a keto diet, and how there is no “one-size-fits-all” diet for our clientsWe also had a discussion about forgiving our bodies and not faulting/guilting/shaming ourselves for our own health challenges We talked about the idea that “your health challenges aren’t your fault, but they are your responsibility."   Join FDN founder Reed Davis, FDN Mentors, and Special Guests to learn about functional lab testing and data-driven protocols to confidently solve health issues and grow your health coaching business.
