We chat with Scott Page (Pink Floyd, Supertramp and Toto) Legendary musician and technologist
Summary: <p>This week on the show we chat with Scott Page<strong>, </strong>who is an American musician, technologist, and entrepreneur known for his saxophone and rhythm guitar work with iconic bands including Pink Floyd, Supertramp, and Toto.</p> <p>Scott is currently CEO of Think: EXP, a Los Angeles-based media company focused on live immersive entertainment. Scott has led a number of ventures, including Walt Tucker Productions, an audio-video post-production company that produced projects for The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks, and others. <em>He was also the founder of 7th Level Inc, a CD-ROM gaming educational software company that produced the world’s first interactive musical cartoon. Scott has also lectured at numerous new media conferences and universities and </em>was also an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, in the Music Industry program.</p> <p>Scott is the son of musician Bill Page, best known for his work as a reed player and member of the Lawrence Welk Band. He was also a fixture with the Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson.</p> <p>Scott Page joined Supertramp in support of the Famous Last Words Tour (1983). It marked the first time additional musicians would join Supertramp as touring band members. The tour also featured Fred Mandel among the added personnel. During that tour, Scott Page was also occasionally playing the guitar and the flute.</p> <p>In 1985 Scott Page had the opportunity to tour with Toto (between the end of Supertramp's Famous Last Words Tour and the band's return to the studio for work on <em>Brother Where You Bound</em>). This was a promotional tour for Toto's album Isolation.
