Velanche Presents Urban Landscapes – June 17, 2021

Velanche Presents Urban Landscapes show

Summary: Greetings.
To skip to the playlist, scroll down below.
I was trying to think of something profound to reintroduce, or for some of you, introduce, Urban Landscapes. I had a great run on radio for well over 17 years, before deciding to put a pause on it. Life, and the overwhelm of it, has made it a decision that, in hindsight, I do not look back with any regrets. It’s been a long time, but I did needed space, for a variety of reasons.

I have no reason to dwell on attempts to give the show a redo; there have been several. Ultimately, it was time, because my time was precious, to focus on what was not me. And now that I have all of the time in the world, even though I am very busy, this is the time to do a regular show again, albeit, at least for now, in podcast form. As for radio, I’m working on that behind-the-scenes. There’s no sense in waiting any longer, though; it’s time to do this.
With that, here is the first new edition of the show since 2016. One thing that I’m extremely fortunate of is to continue to receive fantastic music from around the globe, where global club culture is alive and well, even if it, itself, is having fits and starts (shout-outs to my UK brothers and sisters, for instance; stay safe and strong). I am personally looking forward to what sort of artistic expression will bear fruit, as a result of the many months of people having to cut themselves off from the rest of the world. There are challenging results, but I also think that there will be wonderful results too. We all need to keep hope alive, and my way of doing so is to share this week’s music selection. Listen….just, listen.
I will have more info in the near future on the ways to reach me, and to receive music charts, show info and so forth. For right now, I hope yoiu enjoy this edition, and I’ll be back with a new one in about two weeks, which will return to its two-hour format. In the meantime, take good care of you.
Peace.

Velanche Presents Urban Landscapes
Thursday June 17, 2021
Song – Artist – Release – Label
Now the background is the foreground – Carlos Nino and Friends – More Energy Fields, Current – International Anthem
Salon Winds – Carlos Nino & Friends – More Energy Fields, Current – International Anthem
Miss Green – King Kooba & Simone “Flash” Gordon – Om
Deixa (Joyce Muniz Remix) – Bebel Gilberto – Exploited
Profundo – Bomba Estereo – Agua EP – Sony Music Latin
Quiere La Rumba – Okute – Chulo
Pieds Nus – Poison Gauchiste – Musique Pour Faire Différentes Choses EP – Paradise Children
Energy – MELONYX – EP – Tru Thoughts
Say Yes (feat.
