Summary: On today's Locked On Giants podcast, host Ben Kaspick talks about the San Francisco Giants' business like win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday night. Anthony DeSclafani recovered from a shaky first inning to retire the final 13 batters he faced, and the offense did just enough to get the job done. DeSclafnai was pinch hit for a little sooner than people expected considering how well he was throwing, but manager Gabe Kapler later revealed that DeSclafani wasn't feeling great and that was why he was removed. The bullpen was mostly good, with Caleb Baragar, Zack Littell, and Tyler Rogers pitching clean innings, but Camilo Doval allowed another home run. The Giants have four relievers in the bottom 25 in the NL in win probability added this season, out of a sample of 200+. Thankfully, WPA is not a predictive statistic, but it does tell a story about a bullpen that has been pretty shaky all season long.
