The Giants got shaky starts by Logan Webb and Anthony DeSclafani in their latest two games, but the offense showed resilience and stormed back both times. In the first game, a six-run eighth inning propelled the Giants to victory. Buster Posey homered twice in the game, Alex Dickerson and Wilmer Flores each hit three-run homers in the inning, and Tommy La Stella hit a home run of his own. In the series finale, with the Giants going for a sweep, they fell behind early but then stormed back on a three-run home by Darin Ruf against his former team, and an Alex Dickerson single against a lefty. The Giants bullpen couldn't hold the lead, however, as Camilo Doval gave up a solo home run to Bryce Harper and Wandy Peralta allowed a run in the bottom of the ninth as the Phillies walked off the Giants. Donovan Solano injured his calf in the game and will likely head to the injured list, and Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford both had minor injuries and had to come out of the game on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
